A gait abnormality where the toe of a hindlimb contacts the palmar aspect of a forelimb. This may result in a tread injury, frequently to the bulbs of the heels, or to the loss of a horseshoe (caused by the toe of the hindlimb stepping on the heel of the shoe), which is pulled off as the horse lifts off with the forelimb. This form of interference can happen at the trot, canter or gallop. At the gallop, the overreach injury may be as far proximal as the tendon region.

Défaut d'allure du cheval, favorisé en général par des pinces trop longues. Un des sabots postérieurs touche le membre antérieur. Ceci se produit la plupart du temps au trot ou au galop. Les chevaux touchent les éponges ou le bord extérieur du fer. Il arrive aussi que les fers des postérieurs atteignent le bas des membres antérieurs (on dit que le cheval s'entretaille ou s'attrape). Les blessures (atteintes) peuvent être importantes.

Bewegungsstörung des Pferdes, bei welcher ein vorschwingender Hinterhuf Kontakt mit einer Vordergliedmasse hat. Meist erfolgt dies im Trab oder Galopp. Die Pferde greifen in die Schenkelenden des oder auf den äusseren Rand der Hufeisen, in anderen Fällen verletzen die Hintereisen Bereiche der unteren Vordergliedmasse (Ballen, Fessel, Beugesehnen). Die Verletzungen können erheblich sein.
