A disease of the gastrointestinal tract where a mass consisting of partly digested feed blocks a section of the digestive tract. This makes it a form of bowel obstruction which prevents normal passage of feed or gases along the digestive tract and can lead to signs of abdominal pain known as colic.

Eine Erkrankung des Gastrointestinaltrakts, bei der eine Masse aus teilweise verdautem Futter einen Abschnitt des Verdauungstrakts blockiert. Dies macht es zu einer Form von Darmverschluss, der den normalen Durchtritt von Futter oder Gasen durch den Verdauungstrakt verhindert und zu Anzeichen von Bauchschmerzen führen kann, die als Koliken bekannt sind.
