drift

back-punch

A tapered blunt steel rod which is inserted into pre-punched holes to calibrate their diameter to the desired dimensions (e.g. stud holes or pin holes).

A drift that has a small diameter and is suitable for calibration of the holes in the shoes into which tungsten pins are inserted.
