The form of minimaly invasive (keyhole) surgery that allows visual examination and surgical intervention of the inside of a joint cavity using an endoscope and specialised instruments. In horses this procedure is usually carried out under general anaesthesia.

Form der minimalinvasiven Chirurgie, bei welcher die Untersuchung des Gelenkraumes mit einem Endoskop erfolgt und gleichzeitig mit chirurgischen Instrumenten im Gelenkraum gearbeitet wird.
Der Eingriff erfolgt beim Pferd in der Regel unter Vollnarkose. Endoskop und Instrumente werden über kleine Schnitte eingeführt.
