terminal papilla

The papillae that extend from the end of the dermal lamellae. Each lamellum terminates in several papillae. Together with the lamellar horn of the stratum internum, the horn tubules grown from these papillae create the white line.

Distales Endes der Lederhautlamellen. Jede Lamelle bildet am Ende mehrere Zotten. Die Keimschicht der Epidermis produziert hier das Terminalhorn (Hornröhrchen und Zwischenröhrchenhorn), welches zusammen mit dem herunterwachsenden Blättchenhorn (Lamellenhorn) das gestreifte Horn der weissen Linie bilden.
