Describes the phenomenon that a behaviour can be learned more quickly or performed more often if it is seen to be carried out by another horse. An example for social facilitation would be following: A horse, which sees another horse drinking from a new automatic drinker, will approach and use the drinker more quickly or often than a horse that is introduced to the automatic drinker on its own.

Beschreibt das Phänomen, dass ein Verhalten schneller erlernt oder häufiger ausgeführt werden kann, wenn es von einem anderen Pferd ausgeführt wird. Ein Beispiel für Imitationslernen wäre folgendes: Ein Pferd, bei dem ein anderes Pferd von einem neuen automatischen Trinker trinkt, wird den Trinker schneller oder öfter ansprechen und benutzen als ein Pferd, das dem automatischen Trinker allein zugeführt wird.
