movement abnormality
A deviation from normal movement in terms of limb flight as seen from the front, the back or from the side. From the front and back a limb should move approximately in a sagittal plane: lateral or medial deviations are known as winging, brushing etc. From the side the flight of the limb depends on the gait in which the horse is moving: gait abnormalities that are observed from the side include forging and toe dragging. If limbs strike each other as a result of a gait abnormality this is known as interference.

Mouvement d'un ou de plusieurs membres ne correspondant pas à la norme. Une allure défectueuse se remarque surtout lors de défauts d'aplomb. Un cheval aura par exemple tendance à donner des coups de manchettes s'il est panard ou le cheval cagneux aura tendance à billarder. Ne pas confondre avec une boiterie.

Von der Norm abweichender Bewegungsablauf einer oder mehrerer Gliedmassen. Wird vor allem bei Gliedmassenfehlstellungen beobachtet. Von vorne betrachtet sollte sich die Flugbahn der Gliedmassen annähernd auf der sagittalen Ebene bewegen. Abweichungen sind Fuchteln und Bügeln. Von der Seite betrachtet gehören Zehenschleifen und Schmieden zu den Bewegungsstörungen. Nicht mit Lahmheit zu verwechseln.
