A fluid filled cavity surrounded by connective tissue and lined with a synovial membrane. The fluid in the bursa is viscoussynovial fluid. The function of synovial bursas is to cushion skin, tendons and ligaments at locations where they are exposed to high pressure, directly above a bone.

A clear, pale yellow fluid with a viscous consistency (similar to egg-white) that is found in synovial joints and tendon sheaths. Its most important function is as a lubricant: in synovial joints it reduces friction between jointcartilage during movement, in tendon sheaths it reduces friction between the tendon and the surrounding structures. It also nourishes the jointcartilage, which has no blood supply. It is also known as synovia or joint fluid.

An inflammation of the innermost layer of a synovial structure (e.g. a joint, a tendon sheath or a bursa). It is characterised by thickening of the synovial membrane and increased production of synovial fluid, leading to distention of the affected structure. Depending on the location and the severity of the inflammation, it may be associated with lameness.

Les membranes synoviales étant fortement innervées et vascularisées, il peut s'y produire un afflux sanguin ou un œdème, marqué par une production excessive de synovie.

Eine akute Synovitis ist durch vermehrte Durchblutung, Oedem (Flüssigkeitseinlagerung) der Membran und durch eine vermehrte Produktion von Synovia gekennzeichnet.
Zu erkennen ist dieser Zusand unter anderem an einem erhöhten Füllungszustand er betroffenen Struktur.

Synthetics or plastics are a wide range of materials that are made up of millions of chains of molecules (polymers). The molecule chains consist of repeating molecular units (monomers). They are moldable in nature and come in a large variety of hardness that depends on the type of molecule from which they are made. An example is polypropylene which is a polymer of the molecule propylene.

The last European wild horse breed of which there were two sub-species: the forest Tarpan and the steppe Tarpan. The breed was hunted to extinction in the 19th century.
