The Level 1 Course is the entry level to judging at international level. The course was also produced for National Federations that do not have an FEI approved education system for Judges. The FEI has established a syllabus, specific course material and exams in order to educate aspiring FEI Judges.

What you will learn

This Level 1 course will introduce you to the judging of Jumping events at international level.

It will help you to understand:

  • categories of Jumping Officials;
  • judges career;
  • FEI Code of Conduct;
  • philosophy of judging;
  • FEI rules and regulations;
  • event schedules;
  • arenas and schooling areas;
  • obstacles;
  • penalties during a round;
  • time and speed;
  • table of penalties;
  • eliminations, disqualifications, fines;
  • placing, competitors and horses;
  • jump-offs;
  • competitions;
  • course inspection;
  • warm-up obstacles.
