A two beat lateralgait where the fore and hindlimbs of each side move synchronously: left hind & left fore > right hind & right fore. In most breeds of horse a pace is considered a 'fault', but certain breeds of horse, such as the Icelandic horse or the Peruvian Paso are bred specifically to show this gait. In other species of animal such as camels, giraffes or bears this is the 'standard' gait. The pace can be performed at very high speeds by Standardbred Pacers and Icelandic horses; this is known as speed pacing.

Allure dans laquelle le membre antérieur et le membre postérieur d'un même côté se déplace en même temps. Considérée comme défectueuse chez le trotteur, cette allure est en revanche appréciée chez d'autres races comme étant une particularité.
L'amble est l'allure normale du chameau, de l'ours, de l'éléphant et de la girafe. Certains chevaux participent à des épreuves d'amble de course, par exemple le trotteur américain ("Standardbred Pacer») et le cheval islandais.

Gangart, bei welcher sich die Vorder- und Hintergliedmasse derselben Körperseite synchron bewegen. Beim Traber unerwünscht, bei manchen Pferderassen eine Besonderheit. Bei Tierarten wie Kamel, Bär oder Giraffe die normale Fortbewegungsart. Eine schnelle Variante dieser Gangart ist der sogenannte Rennpass, in welchem für Isländer und "Standardbred Pacer" Rennen durchgeführt werden.
