A form of osteochondrosis where a fragment of bone and/or cartilage (a 'chip') becomes detached from the rest of the bone and causes irritation in a joint.

Il s'agit d'un processus pathologique générant un défaut de transformation du cartilage épiphysaire en os. L'os en croissance connaît un défaut de vascularisation; le cartilage articulaire est fragilisé et des fragments ostéo-cartilagineux peuvent se détacher, formant ainsi des «souris articulaires».
