Definition
A field of biology or (veterinary) medicine which is concerned with the functions of and interactions between organs, tissues and cells. While anatomy focusses on how the body is structured, physiology focusses on how the body works. Physiology is the study of biochemical and biophysical processes in the body e.g. metabolism, cell growth and proliferation, reproduction.
